Church Groups

St. Mary Magdalene, Westoning has a church choir, who lead the singing each Sunday at the services, when both traditional and more modern music is used. They also sing at weddings when asked throughout the year and at special services such as Evensong and Matins.

The choir at present are a small group of up to 12 singers, but would welcome more. Practice takes place two Thursdays a month, at 7:30pm in church. They are a friendly group who enjoy having a good sing with a laugh or two along the way!

Would you like to join? Contact Linda Little (01525 714064) for further details.

Housegroups meet each week to follow up issues raised in the Sunday sermon.

Little Angels is a toddler group for children aged 0-4 and their parents or carers. We meet in Westoning Village Hall on Wednesday afternoons from 1:45 until 3:15. The children can play with toys, model with play dough, join in with craft activities, dressing up, playing musical instruments, singing and listening to stories. We like to celebrate special times like Easter Christmas and birthdays. Come and have a cup of tea or coffee and make new friends. Ring Laura on 07769 721856 for more details.

So many people in the world are hurting and need healing. As Christians, we take the promises of God seriously and know he has the power to bring healing and wholeness. It is natural for people to turn to their local church for some help and The Parish Church of St. Mary Magdalene has prayer teams equipped to offer prayer ministry.

In the Gospel stories, we read that many people were healed when they met with Jesus. All of us at Westoning believe that he is still healing people today.

His gentle touch on so many lives is beautiful, transforming and very exciting.

Our desire is to be a blessing to people of every Christian spiritual tradition, and we would like everyone to feel that they are welcome.

Members of the Prayer Team are available at the morning service every Sunday.

Our next dedicated Healing Service is on Sunday, 11 December at 11.00 am
