24th January 2021

Dear all

We are not sure where this week disappeared to - perhaps you feel the same way? Some of our highlights have been the sight of a beautiful cluster of snowdrops, the first flakes of snow falling as we walked this afternoon, beautiful sunshine and blue sky yesterday, the sound of birds chirping in the trees on the Moors, the sight and sound of a robin high in a tree this afternoon singing to Nigel, the peaceful inauguration ceremony of the new American President which brings the anticipation of new hope and unity for the country and for the world; folks donating unwanted laptops to local schools for students to use during lockdown and encouraging reports of the local vaccination process.  There is so much to be thankful for in each day. God's goodness is present in these difficult days.  That is not to say that we are not very aware of the ongoing struggle within our NHS and hospitals as the Covid battle continues, but we thank God for the professionalism and skill of all staff and pray His healing, strength and blessing on all who are sick and for all who tend to them.  This virus is very real. We hope that you are all keeping well and urge you please to stay safe.

Four of the Quintet churches remain closed for Covid safety reasons and we are pleased to be able to offer a selection of online services for Sunday plus some opportunities to gather together online during the week.

The recorded service will be released tomorrow morning.  Robert has kindly and expertly edited the service and has included some lovely pictures to illustrate and elaborate the message.  Thank you very much Robert.
